You will have to understand the difference between temperature

& heat. If you have a swimming pool of water then scoop out a glass of the

temperature, but the water in the pool has more heat. Why? Well, heat is

dependent on the volume being measured.

Knowing that, imagine you take a room full of air with a certain amount of
heat at a certain temperature, & compress it to fill a can. All the heat in
the room in such a tiny area will raise the temperature of the can (the can
would be very hot indeed). The next step is to remove the heat (let it cool
down). If this seuqence is done in several steps, you can compress/cool the
gas until it becomes a liquid (pretty much how liquid gasses are made for
industial use).
Now to ur question, if the gasses in a can were allowed to escape, the
reverse happens. What little heat is in the can begins to spread out over
a larger area, making if feel as though it is a lot colder. Rule of thumb,
compressing gas raises temp, releasing gas lowers temp.

Well. Okay its like this. Most times a chemical in a can is

When something that is a gas at room temperature is cold, say below

freezing, it would be liquid. When its compressed to a liqid state it is

going to be cold. I hope this makes sense. Instant message me if it doesnt
and ill explain more.
